The Nassau Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, Inc. was founded in 1944. Originally membership included any physician who had an interest in Obstetrics. In 1960 membership was limited only to qualified specialists. In 1966 the Society was incorporated. Educational meetings are held several times during the academic year. The concluding meeting is a special Residents’ Night where residents from the academic programs on Long Island compete against each other in “OB-GYN Jeopardy”.
